Exchanging Links — What is it and what are its Benefits?
Exchanging links or Reciprocal Links is the process of exchanging your link with someone else who has a website. You can trade links with someone who has similar or different Web site to yours.
The purpose of link sharing is to enable you and your partner to boost traffic to each other's site, as well as getting the search engines to detect you.
Exchanging links will bring in a highly targeted readership of boosting the "link popularity" of a site with Web search engines.
Exchanging links will improve search engine ranking. Attaining better ranking increases link popularity of your Web page. The higher your Page Rank is the more web masters or site-owners will be interested in linking your site for they believe that the Google Page Rank is proof of how legitimate your site is. The basic idea here is that: popular sites will attract many links.
Exchanging links plays an important role in shaping the popularity of a web site. In fact, some or most search engines require at least one or more links coming to a web site, otherwise they will erase it from their index.
So if you want to increase traffic to your website, and at the same time improve your rankings in All Major Search Engines exchanging links is the best thing you need to do.
However, link popularity is not a real qualitative index for it does not reflect users’ judgement about websites’ content. It is a mechanical conclusion derived by search engines that only take into consideration the number of links and the website traffic.
Link popularity is not related to qualitative dimensions of the total interaction between the reader and the website content. Link popularity only suggests the idea that websites with best rank value have the best content quality. Hence, quality becomes a mere technological product that influences users in their judgement. No matter how great you might think your blog is, if it does not follow basic SEO rules, it will not score well with search engines. Sigh!

Haha. Love the cartoons, man. You make them yourself, right?
Yeah, I made it myself. All the jokes in my site are my original idea. I used to work in comic industries, like Atlas Publishing Inc. and Graphic Arts Service, Inc., before as a comic writer illustrator. I used to create cartoons.
